American author Kevin Mark Trudeau belongs to one of the major promoters of the hCG diet plan after A.T.W. Simeons, the original founder of this program, died. Trudeau also works as an infomercial salesman and as a radio personality.  He is a self-proclaimed advocate of alternative medicine, best known for his controversial books and products. Today he is one of the leading proponents of the hCG diet plan.

After the Brisitsh endocrinologists, A.T.W. Simeon’s death, the hCG diet began to reach specialized diet centers. Individuals who testified to the effectiveness of the hCG diet plan were the ones who helped intensify the promotion of this program. Although some would disagree regarding the use of hCG hormones for weight loss, Trudeau keeps firm with the promotion of this program. He believes that the US FDA and pharmaceutical companies are more interested in profits rather than cures.

It was in April 2007 when Trudeau released his book entitled, “The Weight Loss Cure “They” Don’t Want You to Know About.” In this book, he described the multi-phase diet plan initially made famous by Simeons in 1950. The first phase includes switching to all-organic food with repeated cleansing. This phase is followed by daily doses of low-level hCG injections under the supervision of a registered dietician. After delivering a total of 23 hCG injections, the next phase should be composed of a 100% organic diet.

He also emphasizes in his book that food companies purposely include additives in food to make people fat. And so he contends that it’s not your fault if you are fat. Trudeau believes that the hCG diet plan discovered by Simeons has been intentionally suppressed by the FDA to prevent people from becoming healthy. The hCG diet plan refers to the use of low-level hCG injections in order to correct the appetite, hunger pangs and food cravings while maintaining a low-calorie diet plan.
